These are a few photographs we recently took at the wedding of Emma and Ryan at Somerford Hall, Brewood, Staffordshire.
What a fantastic location for a wedding!
We had a great afternoon on Saturday doing a wedding pre-shoot with Kelly and Ross. The couple are getting married at the beautiful St.Chad’s Church at Hopwas, followed by a reception at the new hotel at Drayton Manor theme park. We always meet up with couples about a month before the wedding day to finalise the plans for the big day and of course take a few photographs of them as well.

We just love the way the Marquee was decorated at the weekend for Sarah and Ben’s wedding. The staff at The Brook Marston Farm Hotel did the couple proud and the photographs looked fab with such a lovely backdrop.

Sandra and John chose Lea Marston Hotel as the venue for their wedding on what turned out to be a beautiful Autumn day! Both the Bride and Groom were totally relaxed as they made their vows and if they had been just a little nervous it really didnt show! John’s parents unfortunately couldnt make the wedding but with their photograph close to them, the Happy Couple ensured that they were there in spirit. Proceedings went smoothly with the presence of a Master of Ceremonies who made everyone smile and brought a touch of bygone eras to the occasion. It was a wonderful day and Priory Photography were very proud to be a part of it! We wish you all the very very best Sandra and John!!

When we first met Gina and Richard, their car broke down so we never got to actually sit down and discuss anything! The preshoot a year later went a little better thankfully and so when we finally got to the wedding day we were raring to go! Opposite the Stockland Green Methodist Church in Birmingham was a pub. As the Best Man Steve was definitely in the mood to celebrate – he nipped over to the pub for a bit of Dutch courage before the ceremony! Richard didnt need to though as he had waited a while for this day and was enjoying every moment! Gina looked so beautiful as Richard’s smile acknowledged! Following the ceremony, Richard and Gina travelled to the Castle Hotel, Tamworth where everyone enjoyed a celebratory drink before stepping out for photographs. At the foot of the historic Castle, the Happy Couple and their guests stopped for photographs amidst the flowers and sunshine, it was a lovely sight! As the day passed, Gina and Richard celebrated their wedding with family and guests in the Tudor Suite of the Castle Hotel, until before you knew it – it was the First Dance! We were very happy to be asked to photograph your Wedding Day Richard and Gina and wish you all the very best as Husband and Wife, now and in the future!

If the Queen couldn’t have good weather on her Jubilee Sunday then unfortunately the rest of us couldn’t have it either! Despite the rain though, Becci and Aaron’s wedding at the Millers Hotel was lovely! We couldnt give them the outdoor shots that we had planned with them during their preshoot but with a bit of imagination and creativity we were able to take some lovely shots inside of them. When working with someone as lovely as Becci and as happy as Aron though how could we fail! Much love and happiness to you both! Dxxx

When I arrived to undertake Bridal Prep at Alrewas Hayes for Sarah, I was met by a scene of organised happy chaos! You cannot expect less though when you have 6 Bridesmaids who are excited, happy and nervous all at the same time! If Sarah was feeling any butterflies at this point it didnt show. The ceremony was lovely and before we knew it we were outside in the hot sunshine! Though we took the large group photographs on the lawn of Alrewas Hayes, we soon moved everyone into the courtyard where there was more shade. The lakeside was important to both of the Happy Couple as it was where Rob had proposed so we had to photograph them there, it just had to be done! Before moving on to the Wedding Breakfast in the garden of Sarah’s parents, we were able to photograph them in a friend’s classic MG. There may not have been much room for Sarah’s dress but both she and Rob looked very much at home in the gorgeous car! We wish Sarah and Rob, all the happiness in the world as they set out into married life together!!

After the heatwave of the previous week, it was definitely a little cooler for Collette & Chris’ wedding at St Mary’s C of E, Church Weeford. I always feel a little in awe of the Bride’s wedding dress as each is unique, wonderful and as individual as the Bride herself. Collette’s dress was no exception! Using natural light is more flattering but it is still hard to capture how beautiful each dress is. Collette was a picture of loveliness in her dress and I know it brought a tear to her Dad’s eye when he saw her. Chris was taking things in his stride. As a Firefighter, he is used to stressful situations but I think even he was a little overwhelmed when he first caught sight of his beautiful Bride! As tends to happen, the day went quickly in a whirl of colour and emotion. Before we knew it, the Happy Couple were dancing their first dance surrounding by the love and well wishes of their family and friends! I love weddings!! We wish you all the best that married life has to offer you both Chris and Collette!

Drayton Manor’s new Hotel played host to the wedding of Vicky and Adam and what a great day we all had!! I spent the morning with Vicky photographing Bridal Prep which was full of laughter, tears and huge smiles!! When you have spent many months planning, preparing, hoping, praying, worrying, and fretting it can all be quite a relief when the day finally arrives! Emotions are often close to the surface but it’s all good and helps make the day special because it means so much to you and loved ones around you. Vicky and Adam had a wonderful day with family and friends and my lasting memory will always be when they sat down on the chairs at the front before the Registrar and whispered “I love you” to each other before the ceremony began. I felt like I was intruding on a private moment so I looked away but when people really love each other it warms your own heart too just to be around them!! Have a lovely honeymoon both!!!

Big smiles were the order of the day for Tom and Jennie’s wedding at Packington Moor! Even Millie their dog looked as if she were grinning from ear to ear! When it comes to describing Tom’s smile when he saw how breathtaking Jennie looked as she walked down the aisle though – well words fail me. She looked amazing! Following the ceremony, family and friends gathered in the lovely gardens of Packington Moor Farm for photographs and though it was becoming a little fresh at this time of the day no-one really minded. Packington Moor Staff were lovely and couldnt do enough to ensure that the day went smoothly. The only hitch if it can be called that, was when someone (who shall remain nameless) stepped on the Brides dress as she walked down the aisle! Everything was just perfect, a truly lovely day for the happy couple to remember forever. Priory Photography & Design were delighted and honoured to be asked to photograph this very special day for Jennie and Tom and wish them all the happiness in the world as they set out together as Husband and Wife! After the December of 2010, nobody knew just what to expect from New Year’s Eve 2011! For Debby and Wayne it was their Wedding Day and nothing was going to spoil it! It was a little cold but nothing compared to the previous year, so even though the bride came fully prepared with comfy white snow boots and white fur cape to match her stunning white wedding dress – it wasn’t too bad. Wayne was full of anticipation rather than nerves and even though his Best Men and Ushers kept him both amused and distracted, it was well worth it when Debby (after forgetting her bouquet) arrived. Wayne’s proud, beaming face said it all!! From the wedding ceremony at the Church, and on to the reception at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth! The Happy Couple had arranged a surprise for their guests by way of their arrival at the reception – real reindeer pulling a sleigh! Entrances just don’t come much better than that!
With the theme of winter in mind Debby had worked hard on the decor and details of the Reception room so that it looked breathtaking. The theme of white, ice blue and silver was reflected in the lighting, table centre pieces and lots of details such as the bauble place settings and white dove decorations. Wow!! If the fact that it was Debby and Wayne’s wedding wasn’t enough to encourage guests to enjoy themselves the “Buckaroo Reindeer” and “Photobooth” certainly were! When the clock struck midnight, party streamers, confetti and shout’s of “Happy New Year!” marked the beginning of this lovely couple’s first year as Husband and Wife. Priory Photography and Design were both delighted and honored to have been asked to capture Debby and Wayne’s wedding day for them and wish them both a long and very happy life together as Mr and Mrs Croft!

The weather may have been cold at Nuthurst Grange, but the love and laughter surrounding Ellen and Lee at their wedding, from family and friends was lovely and warm! Following the most relaxed and laughter filled bridal prep I ever had the pleasure to photograph, Ellen made her way with her Bridesmaids to the little chapel within the grounds. Though no one wanted to be outside for long, their family and friends were cheerful as they waited for photographs and made the whole chilly experience fun! With Christmas trees and lights all round, even Father Christmas couldnt stay away and made a surprise visit to wish the couple well and give out early presents to the good little boys and girls who were there. A magical wedding for a truly lovely couple! Thank you for letting us capture your memories and be a part of your special day, it was a true pleasure!!! Debbie & Mark xxx
